We stood strong for our community

Shared Influence is no longer active, but that doesn’t mean the fight against the opioid crisis is over.

With harm reduction on our side, we can save lives and protect the health of everyone in our communities. Find resources and more info on how to help your community here.

Stand strong for your community

Shared Influence is a network of everyday people—across cities and suburbs—who use social media to promote the benefits of harm reduction.

Because when you reduce the harms of drug use, you save lives and protect the health of everyone in our community.

Even the strongest communities are facing challenges. The opioid crisis combined with COVID-19 has caused increases in drug use, overdoses, and infectious diseases like HIV and hepatitis C. Too many of our loved ones and neighbors have been impacted. It’s time to step up for the place you call home.

Join the conversation

From front porches to playgrounds, see how people are taking action online to keep their communities strong and healthy. Then, create a post of your own that explains why you support harm reduction services like naloxone, safe syringe disposal, fentanyl test strips, and disease testing. When you post, use #SharedInfluence and tag us @SharedInfluence.
